Kristin Lemus is the founder of Brave Moms. She’s been championing moms and teaching them how to overcome weariness for the past 7 years. Brave Moms has small groups in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area as well are more coming to other states. Kristin also hosts the Brave Moms Podcast and dreams up new ways to reach moms’ hearts with rich encouragement. She’s been married to Anthony for nearly 23 years and has 6 children (and 1 in heaven). She’s a part of The Declare Conference Team, loves to write, drink lattes and take photos.

Chanda Stegall – Chanda Stegall has been married to her college sweetheart, Fabian, for 20 years. They have three, growing, hungry, teenage sons. Chanda trains moms to effectively communicate Scripture and foster a desire for Biblical literacy in their homes. After many years as a Sunday School teacher and eager Bible Study attendee, Chanda attended Dallas Theological Seminary and earned a Masters in Christian Education. After completing her studies, she created a workshop to help moms and Bible teachers develop creative, engaging and transforming Bible lessons by following the lead of the Holy Spirit. Chanda enjoys Instagram and podcasting and she uses both to share relevant Bible teaching and entertaining stories that encourage and equip moms launching teenagers into the world.

Dana Even – After earning her law degree, Dana worked for an oil and gas company for many years then transitioned to being a stay-at-home mother. She leads a Brave Moms women’s group at her church and loves encouraging young mothers. She began her company 2abide.org in 2019 which sells soap bottles with Bible scriptures on them. Dana has been married to her high school sweetheart for 19 years. They live on a farm and have four children.
Dara LaPorta – College athlete, mother of four, passionate about Jesus, and virtual coach, Dara LaPorta empowers women to live their best lives. Through fitness, nutrition, discipline, and living with intention, Dara helps women create a life they love right now.
Emily Thomas – Before kids she was a teacher, nurse, and world traveler. Now she mostly travels around her house picking up toys. Motherhood proved much harder than Emily anticipated so, in an effort to not run away from home, she started a podcast.On her weekly show, Emily interviews other women who are struggling WELL in some area in hopes of figuring out how to be less of a mess herself. She uses humor and honesty to share the encouragement from God’s word and her personal misadventures in an effort to build up worn-down ladies everywhere.
Eryn Hall – Eryn is a devoted wife, mom, believer, and overcomer, making the most of every day! Her heart is to love and live fearlessly, healthy, whole, and free. She is Director of The Declare Conference and shares encouragement at mamahall.com.
Jan Greenwood – Jan Greenwood is a vibrant teacher with leadership expertise and a prophetic gift. She is a pastor, mentor, and leader with a talent for identifying the gifts in others while making the principles of God’s Word practical and approachable. She is the author of Women at War and founder of Brave Strong Girl, an on-line mentoring community for Christian women. As a survivor of breast cancer, she knows what it means to contend for your destiny, to live beyond your circumstances, and to choose life. Jan has served for more than ten years as a part of the pastoral team at Gateway Church in Dallas/Fort Worth and currently serves as pastor of Equip.

Karah Johnston – Karah Johnston is a native Texan, proud wife to Jeff, and mama to Ari, Aiden, and Adelynn. After retiring from her career as a ballerina with Ballet Magnificat, Karah found herself immersed as a stay-at-home mom to three kids under four. Overwhelmed and desperate to find community, she joined a Brave Moms group. Through the leadership of Kristin Lemus and the guiding of the Holy Spirit, she began to come up for air. Years later Karah began to lead a Brave Moms group and found nothing greater than leading moms to the feet of Jesus! Since then life has taken another turn and she is now working full-time for Gateway Church in DFW. Karah has a newfound respect for both stay-at-home and working moms alike. Her heart is for moms to grasp how loved and valued they are by the Father. No matter the season or motherhood path He is always with you!
Kate Battistelli – is living proof God can and will use anyone if they’re willing to be used. She’s the author of the bestseller, The God Dare: Will You Choose to Believe the Impossible, and Growing Great Kids: Partner with God to Cultivate His Purpose in Your Child’s Life. She’s mom to GRAMMY award winning artist Francesca Battistelli and Mimi to her 5 children. Kate experienced infertility, miscarriage, an abortion at 18, and four failed adoption attempts, which all wreaked havoc on her life. As a young actress in New York City, Kate had a life-changing experience, going from understudy to starring as Anna in the Broadway National Tour of The King and I opposite Yul Brynner for more than 1,000 performances. Kate and her husband laid down their careers in the Broadway theatre in answer to their first “God Dare”, moving out of New York City and into a life of homeschooling and a home business. Shery Armstrong – As a young wife and mother Shery quickly learned the value of mentors, especially when multiple moves and a growing family made them hard to find. Today as a wife, mother to 10 adult children, and 21 grandchildren she has worked to both advocate for mentoring relationships and be a mentor. She’s also exploring her creative side by preparing to start a business selling her wheel and hand-built pottery and by taking lots of photos of her beloved NC mountains.
Stacy Durham – Stacy has been married to her best friend, Monty, for 20 years, and they have 4 incredible children. She is certain that her husband is the greatest human alive and she finds that being a mother is her greatest life accomplishment. She has loved her Heavenly Father since she was 6 years old when she was introduced to Him at a Clowns for Christ Conference…which is likely why she has always viewed her Jesus as deeply compassionate and deeply fun.
